What is Good For the Goose is Good For the Gander, Right?

For those that have a mother like mine, these indelible sayings spoken to me growing up left me with powerful meanings on morals and ethics towards human kind. Yet today, not only do we use them less, most of us live by different and less admirable standards.

The saying, “What is good for the goose is good for the gander” means literally what is good for one is good for everyone. Basically treat those the way you would like to be treated or that what is good for the man is good for a woman, etc…In my opinion, it brings up the single most common item wrong with our society across many levels, DOUBLE STANDARDS.

In our “entitled’ society today thrusted by adults excessively wanting more or giving our children the impression that they can just “deserve” instead of respecting others and working hard…It is no wonder that our government is in the state that it is. Which brings me to the most recent appalling double standard reported late last week. If this doesn’t wake you up to the near future of Obama health care, then you are living under a ROCK!

Your Congressional leaders in both parties, have been engaged in high-level talks about exempting lawmakers and Capitol Hill aides from the insurance exchanges that are MANDATED to join, JUST LIKE YOU AND I, as a part of President Barak Obama’s health care bill expected to launch January.

The fact that they see the writing on the wall, that this health care reform bill will cost companies and individuals thousands of dollars, is a good thing. BUT instead of making a better health care bill or improving the existing bill for all of America, they decided just to EXEMPT themselves  secretly. If our lawmakers go through with this, they will be dubbed as hypocrites, not only by their political rivals but by the public for holding themselves to a different standard than the very people who put them in office.

Please start to learn about what Obama and your lawmakers are doing with health care NOW!

Call the people who you voted for and make your voice heard, TODAY.
