On Wednesday, October 24th, the borough of West Chester held its annual Halloween parade. The night was exciting throughout, with a huge crowd of residents from inside and outside the borough, as well as West Chester University students coming out to enjoy a night of visually stimulating floats, live bands, and of course, free candy.
The children who came out to enjoy the night were a joy to see, with each child in a Halloween costume. There were costumes from monsters and zombies to princesses and witches. Each child had a noticeably large trick or treat bag filled with candy thrown out by the members of the parade.
The floats were exciting as well. Such crowd pleasers included the West Chester University Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band, who danced as they played down the streets of the town. More floats included a monster truck, SPCA float filled with all different breeds of dogs, and a pickup truck that had a live band playing on the bed of the truck.
All in all, it was an exciting event for the community and everyone was filled with Halloween spirit!
