If you have a friend that has the app “Runmeter” you have been given a gift from the comedic gods.
When they post on Facebook that they are going for a run with Runmeter it will speak your likes and comments to the person.
Now people with normal friends would get all kinds of positive comments and feedback. Unfortunately, my friend, BC, has friends like me.
BC tried this out Saturday morning. Being the good friend that I am, I wanted to give him some motivational comments to hear on his run like,
“Don’t think about peeing, don’t think about peeing.”
“Just pass the hot girl in front of you! You’ve been directly behind her for an hour and she’s getting creeped out.”
I texted some other friends and asked them to help keep him company. They joined in and we had a conversation on his post about what we were all doing later, which I can only assume was being read to BC throughout his run.
Even had a girl comment, “That’s it BC, don’t stop, faster… faster… faster…don’t stop…”
Which I’m sure motivated him.
(To do what, I don’t want to know..)
Just to make sure the app really worked, I cut and pasted all of the lyrics from a few Air Supply songs.
Imagine being out for a 6 mile run and hearing this being read to you by a computer voice,
“I’m all out of love, I’m so lost without you
I know you were right, believing for so long
I’m all out of love, what am I without you?
I can’t be too late to say that I was so wrong”
I’m guessing he’ll never use that app again.
