Tuttle Marketing Services, a local promotional products company, raised over $16,450.00 for the relief effort for Hurricane Sandy recently. Jeanne Reith, a salesperson for Tuttle Marketing Services, was contacted by students from Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania to help with the relief effort.
The company immediately jumped in to create custom on-line stores offering short sleeve and long sleeve tees for the hurricane relief effort. Through the power of facebook and social media, proceeds from the sales exceeded $13,600 in one week alone! One hundred percent of the proceeds were donated to the relief efforts in New Jersey and Rockaway Beach and Breezy Point, New York.
The sale was so successful, that a second sale was held around the holidays, with another $2,810 being donated. In total, $16,449.87 was donated to the Breezy Point, Rockaway Beach, and Governor Christie’s Restore the Shore relief efforts. “We were very proud to be a part of such an effort, and sincerely hope that our donation helps in some small way to bring relief to all those families and communities that were devastated by Hurricane Sandy”, states Nancy Tuttle, President of Tuttle Marketing Services.
