Hello neighbors! It’s that time of year again.

Time to put away our swimsuits and sunscreen and gorge ourselves silly at the Restaurant Festival!

The Eagles play the Ravens at 1:00, so you can pop into local bars like Barnaby’s, Side Bar and Mas to enjoy the game. We like to park at the University and walk up if it’s a nice day but there are also lots of parking garages to choose from, and you can find more info by clicking here. We typically start at Darlington end of Gay Street and work our way down to Matlack.

Everyone ends the night at the Square Bar for their barbecue and a few cold beers to wash it down. They set up a great tent and tables so you can rest your weary legs and digest all the goodness of the day.

Although I would love to bring my Australian Shepherd, Lady, with us, this is a ‘no pets allowed’ event. Just pack a doggie bag and they will lick you with kisses upon your return.

If you are bringing the kids, I would pack wipes, sunscreen, a blanket to sit on and a few small toys (like bubbles) to keep them busy when you need to sit for a few minutes to recoup – there is a outside, covered picnic area in the back of Doc Magrogan’s that is a perfect escape for families. It is somewhat enclosed so the kids can’t go far and they have tv’s so you can check the game.

I hope everyone has a great time this year! Stop by my booth this year and say hi! You can win prizes and we have free giveaways to help your tummies survive the festival!

Chester County Restaurant Festival is the biggest festival of the year. This foodie event is full of tons of entertainment, information booths, local artisans, and tons of delicious food from around the Chester County Area. Local Chester County food vendors and restaurants are set up on four blocks serving up some of their delicious, gourmet, ethnic, and unique restaurant favorites. Throughout the day, at 3 locations, live bands perform. In the afternoon, we hold the Chester County Culinary Cook Off. The Cook Off consists of four local chefs competing through a series of cooking challenges to win Top Chef Award.

Chester County Culinary Challenge:

The Chester County Culinary Challenge is back by popular demand. Four chefs will compete to win the title of the best chef in Chester County. They will cook an appetizer, entrée and dessert.

The Cook Off will kick off at 2:00 on the steps of the historic Court House on High Street.

Live Music and Dancing:

There are three locations with eight different bands performing throughout the day. The performances will be held on Gay St. at Matlack St. and Darlington St and at the corner of Market St. and Church St.
