QVC’s Annual “Give Joy” Program Kicks Off this Friday!

givingtuesday 20140104QVC cares about our community and shows it, especially around the holidays when so many Chester County families are in need. This Friday, November 21st, QVC will kick off its Annual Give Joy Program and you can get involved!

“QVC’s Give Joy Program provides our associates with the opportunity to bring help, hope and joy to those in need during the holidays,” says Paul Capelli, Vice President Corporate Communications and Community Affairs at QVC. “From donating Thanksgiving meals and gifts to Chester County families to sending holiday cards to our local veterans, giving back is one of the ways we build meaningful relationships with our community and neighbors.”

November 21: QVC Program Hosts Carolyn Gracie, Jacque Gonzales and Rick Domeier and QVC colleagues will deliver 50 complete thanksgiving dinners to the Chester County Food Bank to raise awareness during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.

December 2For the second year, QVC is supporting #Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving.

On #GivingTuesday, QVC is partnering with our local American Red Cross chapters to participate in their Holiday Mail for Heroes Program. Local Red Cross affiliates will collect and distribute holiday cards for military veterans and families in the local community. QVC is providing toolkits for employees which include QVC-branded cards.

Our annual Give Joy Adoption program gives QVC employees a chance to help fulfill the wishes of Chester County children, families and seniors. Lists are provided, and employees choose a wish they will fulfill.

December 5: For the second year, QVC is the presenting sponsor of the West Chester Old Fashioned Christmas Parade. QVC hosts, leadership and employees will participate in a variety of festive ways, and live parade footage will be broadcast on QVC with highlights featured during Christmas Day programming.

December 11: The QVC Talent Team will take part in the Coatesville VA Hospital’s Holiday Bingo Night.
