The Trans-American Electric Bike Tour (www.TransAmericanElectricBikeTour.com) will stop in West Chester on Monday, April 9th!  The tour departs April 7, 2012 from New York City and ends in San Fransisco two months later, with stops in more than 15 cities to host presentations and talks. Coinciding with Earth Week in April and Bike to Work Week in May, the tour will help raise awareness of how electric bikes can make a bike-centered commute possible in any terrain and ease the transition for those wanting to exercise by bike.

On April 9 the tour will be welcomed to West Chester with the following events:

4pm – Sierra Club Bike Escort
Meet in KMart parking lot (Goshen Shopping Center on Paoli Pk) at 4pm
When ebike riders arrive, escort them into West Chester – on bikes

5pm – Pizza Reception at Hybrid Cycles – 126 E Gay St

7pm – Presentation and Discussion at West Chester University, hosted by Sierra Club Room 113 Merion Hall Speakers:
    Trans-American Electric Bike Tour Riders (keynote)
    Chester County Citizens for Climate Protection (4CP)
    Tranportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC)
    Central Chester County Bike/Ped Circulation Plan
    UGo Electric Car Charging Stations
