Faunbrook Bed & Breakfast is saving one family at a time from seasonal squabbles over who gets the best bed in the house and what to have for breakfast.

 

Let Lori, the owner and Innkeeper, and her staff treat your family like royalty so you don’t have to. 

Faunbrook is an elegant Bed and Breakfast, circa 1860, in a grand manor once owned by a Civil War-era congressman in West Chester , PA only 30 miles west of Philadelphia, and located just one mile from downtown West Chester and three blocks from the center of West Chester University.

It provides a wonderful two-acre setting for quiet, elegant visits, and is a perfect venue for weddings and other events. It is within an easy drive of such major attractions as Longwood Gardens, Winterthur Museum and Gardens, the Brandywine River Museum (Wyeth paintings), and QVC Studio headquarters.

The Food:

 

Your family will be treated to gourmet breakfast while dining in a warm, welcoming and cozy dining room. Want to take it a step further? Have Lori cater your lunch or dinner – you won’t have to wash a single dish! You will have such a delightful time that you might just want to move in. 

 

 

Even if Lori does not hand over a set of keys to you, you can come back for your holiday work party, weddings or bring in your friends from out of town for a weekend of fun and relaxation in West Chester!

Lori has been working with local caters, restaurants and businesses, forming strong partnerships, to ensure every request is filled and every detail is met with ease and a smile. 


All room rates include complimentary wine upon your arrival and a full Faunbrook breakfast.



Innkeeper is happy to make reservations, ticket purchases, etc. for special events.

 

     

 

The Rooms:

Faunbrook features:
• Six warmly decorated guest rooms, including two suites with fireplaces;
• Large, dramatic common area rooms, including a library and winter porch;
• Wireless internet access;
• Wonderful details such as Monticello windows and intricate mahogany millwork;
• A sweeping porch, separate ice house and gazebo;
• A delightful watercourse and large pond, along with large brick patio.

The Darlington


Decorated in rich tones of plum & ivory, the Darlington is a large second floor room overlooking south and east gardens. The room and private adjoining bath run the full depth of the house. The bedroom is furnished with a queen-size four-poster bed, dressing table, armoire, and media cabinet with television and VCR. The Darlington also has a fireplace and sitting area.

Edith’s Room


This large, bright and airy third floor room with a sitting area overlooks the north and west gardens. The queen-sized iron bed is dressed in navy and white. A twin sofa-bed, antique armoire and wicker wardrobe complete the room. The large bathroom /dressing room contains a soaking tub.

Elizabeth’s Room


A beautiful antique Lincoln double bed and marble topped chest of drawers. Decorated in jewel tones of burgundy and green, this corner room overlooks the gardens to the east and one of the fountains. A deep claw-foot tub is the focal point of the bathroom.

Isabel’s Room


Overlooking the east and south grounds, with a view of one of Faunbrook’s fountains, this sun filled room contains a queen-sized wooden bed, writing table, chest of drawers, wing chair and ottoman. The bathroom is original to the house and contains an antique claw-foot tub. The floral wall tiles were hand-painted in the 1860’s.

May’s Room


This quiet corner second floor room with armoire and ornate queen-sized iron bed overlooks the west gardens. Subtle floral wallpaper lends to the overall feeling of warmth and serenity. The room is completed with a comfortable wing-back armchair and lady’s-desk. The bathroom is done in crisp shades of green and white.

Rose’s Room


Large corner third floor room facing the west gardens, this room includes a hand-painted double bed with half-canopy. matching vanity, slipper chair, child’s rocking chair and inlaid wardrobe. The original built-in marble stand holds a hand-painted sink and the bathroom compliments the black & gold décor of the bedroom.
