A Workshop for Parents in the Community
All are Welcome; Admission is Free
Parenthood undeniably can have its ups and downs; having your parenting toolkit stocked with strategies for mitigating stress, anxiety and inevitable lows makes all the difference in one’s outlook, confidence and ability to go with the flow. Supporting children and young adults with special needs requires creativity, innovation and patience—but you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Join renowned author and experienced cognitive-behavioral therapist Deborah Roth Ledley, Ph.D., for a balance of scientifically sound techniques and friendly advice to overcome any self-doubt and maximize parents’ strategies for healthy thinking, behavior, communication and decision-making.
Presented by Deborah Roth Ledley, Ph.D., with introductory remarks from Darren Levin, Ph.D., Clinical Director, The Vanguard School. Dr. Ledley is a psychologist at the Children’s Center for OCD and Anxiety. She has done extensive research on the nature and treatment of anxiety, publishing more than 40 scientific papers and book chapters, as well as three academic books.
