Broad Run Country Club
Broad Run Golfer’s Club and Iron Valley Golf Club hosted the first annual Iron Horse Classic in July 2013. The inaugural event was a success and we are looking forward to this year’s event which will be held on Saturday, July 26th and Sunday, July 27th. Our goal is to bring golfers from both Chester and Lebanon Counties together to compete and form long lasting friendship through the great game of golf.
This annual better ball event will challenge your golfing skills on two great courses. The field will be limited to the first sixty two person teams. After completion of the first round the field will be broken into three flights based on score. Each flight will compete in their own division for prizes. All teams are eligible to win the overall low gross trophy.
Saturday’s round at Iron Valley Golf Club was designed by architect, P.B. Dye, and offers natural terrain, expansive vistas, extreme elevations changes and a challenging layout to ensure a “Breathtaking Challenge”. Each landscape is distinct with a challenging links style front “Tailings Nine”, and a more traditional style back “Mine Nine”.
Sunday’s round at Broad Run Golfers Club was designed by architect Rees Jones, built on 372 acres of rolling countryside. He demonstrated his skill for taking what Mother Nature offered and transformed it into a masterful course design. Nestled among the rolling hills of historical Chester County, Broad Run offers breath-taking vistas and an ease of play for both experienced and novice golfers alike.
This will become an event to plan your summer around. Players will be given practice round vouchers for discounted pricing.
