6:30AM – Depart the West Chester Parks and Recreation Office

9:30AM – Arrive at Battery Park and board a ferry to Ellis Island. Ellis Island is now a 27.5 acre site located just minutes off the southern tip of Manhattan Island. It has been estimated that nearly half of all Americans today can trace their family history to at least one person who passed through the Port of New York at Ellis Island. Ellis Island is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the National Park Service. You will be able to make a stop at the Statue of Liberty as well. Enjoy lunch on your own at Ellis Island.
3:00PM – Return to Battery Park
3:30PM – Enjoy a visit to the amazing 9/11 Memorial site and Museum. The National September 11 Memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people that passed in the terror attacks on September 11, 2001. The memorials twin reflection pools are each nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood.
5:00PM – Depart for home – Dinner stop in route home (on own)
