Join CCAA at Birmingham Township’s Brandywine Battle Reenactment Event!

CCAA will be on site on May 17 and 18 as Birmingham Township hosts a once in a generation event: a live reenactment of the Battle of The Brandywine.

Watch as Chester County Art Association plein air artists capture the sites and action throughout the course of both days from 10am – 3pm. The battle reenactment will start at 2pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday.

This reenactment takes place on the hallowed ground of Sandy Hollow. Saturday’s artwork will be on view and for sale at the VIP event Saturday night and on view and for sale Sunday.

Attend presentations on Lafayette and the Battle (his first engagement of the Revolution) by local expert Gene Pisasale
Shop authentic period crafts
Visit with 18th century sutlers (provisioners)
Fife and drum corps and other music

The Freedom Bivouc Revel is a special event for those who contribute so much to making the reenactment a success.
5-8 pm Saturday
Benefit for Sponsors and Event Committee
Others welcome; limited additional tickets are $50 and will be available at the main tent on a first come first served basis.
Mingle and party with the reenactors at the Sandy Hollow location
Tours of both Continental and British camps
Fife and drum and other Colonial era musical stylings (some political, some bawdy; it’s 18th century rap!)
The evening will be emcee’d by West Chester University President Greg Weisenstein
