Kennett Square Chocolate Lovers Festival

Benefits United Way of Southern Chester County


Hundreds of chocolate treats, including cakes, brownies, candies, cookies and cupcakes, will be available for attendees to taste at this Festival benefitting the United Way of Southern Chester County. Bring family and friends for a fun day sampling as many chocolate delights as you wish-chocoholics of all ages welcome! Contestants will vie for awards in the follow categories: professionals, amateurs and students (ages 12 up). Last year nearly 200 entries were available for tasting by the public.

TICKETS: Admission $5.00, includes six regular tastings. Professional tastings are two tickets. Additional tastings are available for $.50 each. Enter via the Express Line if you Buy Tickets Now.

ENTRIES: Professional chefs and great cooks from the region will compete for bragging rights, ribbons and prizes by donating their best chocolate desserts to this event. Entries will be judged before the tasting begins. Individuals may submit as many entries as they wish. There is no cost to enter. All entries must have a chocolate component and be shelf-stable, but need not be original recipes. The deadline for submitting your entry forms is January 31, 2014. Official Rules and Entry Form.

VENDORS: Do you have Valentine’s Day wares for sale? We have a very limited number of spaces for vendors with unique and handcrafted gifts appropriate for Valentine’s Day giving. Tables are $50.

WHO WE ARE: United Way of Southern Chester County (UWSCC) serves the residents of four Pennsylvania school districts: Avon Grove, Kennett, Oxford, and Unionville-Chadds Ford. Over 30 different health and human service programs receive support from UWSCC. Last year, one in seven of our neighbors in southern Chester County turned to United Way-funded programs for help.

In conjunction with the Festival, we are having a special wine and chocolate evening to celebrate the season of love. Indulge in artisan chocolates made by area chefs, paired with local wines and craft beers, in a unique Chester County home near Unionville.
